The House
The house has a large lounge and dining room with conservatory-style windows looking out onto a pleasant well-stocked garden. The lounge has comfortable armchairs and a large-screen TV. There is lift and stair access to the first floor. There is also a laundry room (residents are responsible for their own laundry but may employ someone to help them) and a bathroom which has a special bath for those with restricted mobility.
The garden has a walk-way all round it, and has been attractively landscaped to provide colour all year round.
Each room has a smoke alarm and an alarm system connected to the Housekeeper’s flat in case of emergency; residents are also encouraged to wear personal alarms (Piper Lifeline) which are connected to a help centre.
Lunch and tea are cooked by the Housekeeper and served in the dining room. She ensures the house is comfortable, clean and safe.
Residents’ roomsAll ten bed-sitting rooms have en-suite facilities with walk-in showers. There is a fitted wardrobe, TV and telephone point in all rooms (individual TV licenses are not required).
Residents can bring their own furniture and may be consulted about the decor. The residents furnish the room as they wish with their own possessions; this may include a toaster, kettle and refrigerator for making breakfast. Residents are responsible for keeping their rooms clean. Each bedroom has its own key and a front door key is also given to each resident who is then free to come and go as they please.
Summary:Accommodation: 10 en-suite rooms. Services: Resident management staff and community alarm service. Two nutritious home-cooked meals are served every day. Facilities: Lift, lounge, laundry, guest facilities, garden. |
